Local sources have provided details on a fatal Martin County auto accident involving a former PBSO Sheriff, that took place in Martin County on Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, retired Sheriff James Duck was driving his 2010 Toyota Prius when it was struck by a 2013 Ford F-350 that was being driven by 31 year old Carlos Michael Pedrera-Crespo on Martin Downs Boulevard.
Mr. Duck drove his vehicle in the Martin Downs/Martin Highway intersection on a green light and was plowed into my Mr. Pedrera-Crespo, striking the left side of the Prius.
While the driver of the F-350 and his passenger were injured in the collision, the force of the impact was too great for Mr. Duck, who, despite wearing a seat belt, lost his life in the crash.
This is a developing story.
