Gordon & Partners is pleased to award two outstanding recent graduates with our South Florida Scholarship for Continued Education. Shelby Pelky and Aaron Winer each received a $500 scholarship to aid in continuing their education.
Through a personal essay in which applicants were asked to describe how childhood experiences influenced their decision to continue their education, Pelky and Winer’s responses stood out above the countless other qualified applications we received.
Both are well-rounded students who have excelled in their high school courses and are involved in their school and local communities.
Both have demonstrated a strong passion for affecting significant change through their professional goals. Pelky plans to study Psychology and Criminology and Law at the University of Florida, after which she aspires to join the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Winer, already an accomplished science student, also plans to attend the University of Florida and pursue a career in medicine through which he aspires to work to eliminate suffering in the world.
Founding partner Robert Gordon noted that although the decision to pick only two recipients of the South Florida Scholarship for Continued Education was difficult, we are confident that these young adults fully exemplify the drive and motivation needed to succeed in this next step in their education, as well as in their future professional careers.
Gordon & Partners is honored to be able to support the aspirations of students throughout South Florida with this continued education scholarship. We are committed to helping develop the potential of students in our community.
Congratulations Shelby Pelky and Aaron Winer and best of luck in your future endeavors!
