Gordon & Partners is currently investigating claims and complaints on behalf of Sixt Rent a Car consumers who believe they were scammed and ripped off by Sixt. Some consumers claim that Sixt Rent a Car charged excessive fees, charged for damage to a rental vehicle the consumer did not cause, or were victims of bait and switch advertising.
We have reviewed several complaints from consumers who claim that Sixt Rent a Car engaged in the following behavior:
- Advertised vehicles that are not available to the Sixt customer
- Required consumers to pay more for the vehicle they reserved, or pay more for a lesser vehicle if the one they reserved was not available
- Rented vehicles with expired tags/registration
- Rented vehicles that had not been serviced to fix existing problems
- Charged excessive fees for additional drivers and tolls
- Charged drivers for tolls even if they paid the toll with cash or used their own electronic toll device
- Charged for roadside service and insurance despite the consumer declining those services
- Charged for damage to rental vehicles that did not occur during the consumer’s rental period
- Charged for mileage even though unlimited mileage was advertised
- Charged consumers extra fees for leaving the state despite being advised by Sixt that rental vehicles can be driven to surrounding states and within the region
- Charged consumers for gas even though they returned the Sixt rental vehicle with a full tank of gas or the same amount that was in the vehicle at the start of their rental period
- Charged high costs for minor damage to vehicles
If you have experienced any of the above situations, please contact our lawyers . You may be entitled to compensation through a potential Sixt class action lawsuit that Gordon & Partners is investigating.
